(Coach Alex)
I am a PSIA-certified Alpine Instructor and PSIA Children’s Specialist with experience teaching group lessons, private lessons, weekend seasonal programs, and ski teams. My coaching philosophy is built around progressive skill development, strong fundamentals, and age-appropriate instruction that supports long-term athlete growth.
I have worked with skiers of all levels, helping them build confidence, technical ability, and independence on snow. My greatest passion is working with young athletes, sharing my enthusiasm for skiing and inspiring the next generation to love and excel in snowsports.
We believe great skiing is built through strong fundamentals, thoughtful progression, and proven coaching standards. PSIA instruction focuses on long-term athlete development, helping skiers build confidence, skill, and independence on snow.
What Is PSIA?
The Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) is the national organization that sets the standard for ski instruction in the United States. PSIA certification requires ongoing education, on-snow evaluations, and demonstrated teaching ability based on how athletes learn and progress.
Athlete Development Through Progression
PSIA instruction emphasizes progressive skill development, ensuring athletes learn strong fundamentals before advancing to more complex movements and terrain. This approach builds confidence, consistency, and safer skiing while supporting long-term growth rather than short-term results.
Why Work With a Certified Instructor?
A PSIA-certified instructor is trained and assessed in technique, teaching methodology, movement analysis, and child-centered instruction. This ensures lessons are structured, age-appropriate, and aligned with proven coaching principles, giving athletes the best foundation for success and enjoyment on snow.
Step 1
Assess & Analyze
Each athlete begins with detailed movement analysis to identify strengths, limitations, and skill gaps. From this assessment, a focused training plan is created to target specific improvements efficiently.
Step 2
Build Strong Fundamentals
Training emphasizes core fundamentals that directly address identified movement deficiencies. Skills are introduced in the proper sequence to ensure measurable progress, consistency, and confidence.
Step 3
Comprehensive Tools & Data Analytics
Athletes receive real-time feedback using modern coaching tools to accelerate understanding and correction. This continuous feedback loop reinforces learning and significantly improves long-term outcomes.
